Hot off the Press. Baytown
Just completed this new image which I’m thrilled with. It’s from the beach at Robin Hood’s Bay looking towards Ravenscar. I’m told the locals refer to the Bay as ‘Baytown’.

Not only did I have 4 pieces accepted at the Ropewalks Bi-annual Open Art Exhibition, but was really pleased to see that one of my motorway pieces was given a highly Commended by the judges. www.the-ropewalk.co.uk

Currently Exhibiting at…
I’m currently exhibiting in a Joint exhibition with Jacob de Graaf at www.duckettandjeffreys.com in Malton.

Paintings of architectural shapes and remembered places by Jacob sit alongside Ian’s vivid prints of reduced motorway bridges.
The Exhibition runs until 19th June.

North Yorkshire Open Studios
NYOS. 130 artists, from all over North Yorkshire, will be opening their studios for the weekends of 10/11/12 and 18/19 June to visitors. This is my third year and feel honoured.
I shall be exhibiting and talking about my practice from my studio in Staithes.
Which is also available as a holiday cottage to rent. One Slip Top – Staithes.

I’ve recently been ‘cconnecting’ with Bridges as subject matter.

Stephen Joseph Theatre
Iv’e just found out that the Theatre will be using an Image I created specially for their forthcoming Spring Programme of events. Prints of this image are available exclusively through Stephen Joseph Theatre.

Ferens Art Gallery. Open Exhibition
I have had 2 pieces accepted in this years Open Exhibition at the Ferens in Hull. I have been accepted for a few consecutive years now, but never take it for granted as the standard is usually quite high. It’s usually a great show and well worth a visit. 12th February – 3rd April.
