Looking down towards Robin Hood’s Bay from Ravenscar, it’s easy to see why the Victorians had plans to turn this area into a major Tourism Resort. It’s ruggedness and geography prevented this from becoming a reality. There’s an excellent coastal walk between the two villages that follows the old railway.
