The River Dee has it’s source in the mountains of Snowdonia, before passing through Chester. This view looks across over the Weir, which was originally designed to power the medieval mills, which have since been demolished.

The Old Dee Bridge, Chester (CHEST.1)

The Old Dee Bridge is the oldest bridge in the City and was originally built by the Romans, and has since been altered and adapted. The present bridge is mainly the result of major rebuilding in 1387. It’s Grade 1 Listed and a scheduled monument.
